Nick and Brandon fishing with me today on Lake Eufaula. Gathered several good keepers fishing with the custom hair jigs. In calm water areas I seen crappie eating May flies in top of the water when you see that action drop your poles and run. We did much better in areas where we had wind so we did not compete with the May flies. Big thanks to Nick for taking the fish home he claims he likes cleaning fish have to admit I did not try to change his mind lol.

Day two for Daniel and Brett with D&K Guide Service yielding 75 crappie. These hair jigs are something else Daniel made a good point today if you miss the first bite due to the jig having texture they will hit it again witch is rare when fishing with jigs. Our pattern is shallow due to the fish taking advantage of all the fry in the lake. Thanks for fishing with me it's hot but so is the crappie bite it will hold up all summer.

We were pulling up to our first spot and the kids told me they have never caught a fish, And they have been on a few guided trips on the ocean and other lakes. I told them I can't wait until you catch one for the first time. Kai dropped a hair jig in the water and in two minutes caught his first keeper crappie ever in his life. They both caught several thought the trip. I love days like this were I can experience memories made on the water that will last a lifetime for the kids. These hair jigs that we are making are working and holding up very well.

These jigs preform great under water and you can catch so many fish on the same jig it's amazing. I have decided I'm gonna start hand making jigs for my guide service. These guys could really fish well, all fish caught on custom-made hair jigs. I do love my Lake Fork tackle but I've been doing some experiments with hair Jigs and found really good success. My son Taylor and his friend Jayden took 5th place at Fort Gibson Lake. Fishing for Crowder High School. Due to they're Strong Finish for the season they did qualify for Nationals on Kentucky Lake. They made me one proud team captain. My Wife Kym had a day off on a Friday and said hey honey it's my turn to catch a crappie. I have to brag on her, she is a special woman with many talents. We did not get on the water till 4 pm but we caught plenty crappie for a couple of good meals for our house.

Mel Stover and his wife with me today on big ole Lake Eufaula. We caught around 70 fish only keeping the big ones pattern was very shallow 2 to 4 feet deep due to the shad spawn. Mel was a striper guide on lake Texoma for over 30 years. Now he wants to be able to learn how to chase these tasty creatures.#lakeforktackle. paddle tail is killer this time of year.
Don Wright his wife and brother in law all the way from Czech Republic it was his first time to be out fishing on a lake. Glad we could show him a good time with 76 crappie yielded. The bite and location were completely different from where and how we caught them last several days.
