Mike and Kent from Illinois came down to catch some crappie with me today. We had a great day with 86 crappie kept and they threw back a lot of shorts. Had a great time with y'all on the water had a lot of good laughs. Summer pattern is solid they are fat and full of shad.

Ascension rods is looking at adding me to there pro staff to help them get the word out about these rods let me tell you the bite is light in the summer and you could feel them breathe on these rods they did really make a big difference in our catch. Then I took them on a nice cruise around the south end of the lake showing them some cool land features. O MY GOODNESS This is Chuck, Brad, Ken, Jason and Justin smoking some lips on Lake Eufaula today with 162 crappie. This is the results of The group trip That Dad and I took crappie fishing on this very pleasant July day. It goes to prove some of these fish are on very shallow wood and standing timber and in the same day pulled up on a huge school of fish in 10 to 11 feet of water and wore them out. I had the privilege to take these kids fishing today we all had a great time on the water today with Jamie Levi Corey and Brian. We did not load the boat but we got plenty of fish the bite was light and it was difficult to get hooked up. Some days they seem like they just slap at it and run away. Had a few good ones in the Future of Bass with my Dad today we had a lot of fun we did well but our other two fish were to small to win the event it was a 4 fish limit. We had one squeaker that we just could not rid of. It's all good when you can spend your day bass fishing with your dad.

Pattern with a 90 degree water temp was fishing a little deeper due to the thermocline pushing down a little deeper anywhere from 8 to 12 ft near deep water. Was the key to our success summer time crappie fishing is so fun the fish just stack up on particular spots. With that said some of these crappie will go extremely shallow on wood I have not checked that pattern yet but it's probley happening it's just hard to pull off these deeper fish that are stacked up to hunt for singles.

Hair jigs caught some good ones today. Had hardly any wind today so it was raining May flies on us most of our day. Had to adjust the pattern to be successful.

The crappie pattern has sure changed a lot in two days had to fish totally different than I have been to get out table full today ending up with 64 keepers. Still fishing in 5 to 8 feet of water but structure and shad have to be in the equation. Everyone have a safe weekend out there Lake is gone be packed due to the holidays.

Same jigs I've had tied on for a month now. It's crazy how many fish you can catch on the same jig.
