I have to say most were caught on #lakeforktackle. but it was fun catching them on a hair jig as well. caught them on Brown and chartreuse. water temp 75 to 76 this is my favorite bite of the year. Thanks to Dennis Keener for allowing me to use his boat. Mine is in the shop. We kept 90 crappie our morning started out rather interesting but good memories were made on the water for sure. Mark and Lynn some of my best clients. Watched me struggle today. Had my trolling motor petal stop working. Took me a hour but I was able to fix it. Then 20 min later my starter went out on my big motor. Some how we did catch 41 crappie. So all considered all take it. Thanks Mark and Lynn for your understanding believe it or not we did not allow mechanics to affect our ability to have fun.
Brandon and Kristie fishing with D&K Guide Service on lake Eufaula. We kept 65 caught at least a 100 we culled quite a few for next year's fishing. That fish Brandon is holding was a 2.2 pound crappie. Same pattern caught them shallow and also caught post spawn fish that were eating #lakeforktackle. I guess the banana did not hurt our day lol.
Jason, Perry and Bret catching 62 crappie out of lake Eufaula. Fish are doing so many different things they are shallow and some still have not moved up yet lake is still coming up. So I think that's why they are holding out in 6 to 7 feet. Its been a interesting year to say the least #lakeforktackle. Get bit!!!!!
2nd day of the Obn High School fishing tourment.My son Taylor and his partner Jayden only boated 3 fish but they were 3 good ones. Our best spot got covered in Texoma red mud. So we had to make a big adjustment to try to salvage there day. Taylor catching a 5 pound large mouth with ten min to fish created a moment I will never forget. I really enjoy watching those two fish and overcome adversity that's what live is all about anyway. Good character traits are built on the water I promise you.
My son Taylor and his best friend Jayden placing 7th in the OBS high school bass tournament on lake Texoma they made me a proud captain and father today. The bite was slow and you had to focus hard and they did a great job Fishing clean as well.

It was just Torsten than and I I on Lake Eufaula today. Had to wait until a little after noon to let the storms blow over. But then we got out there and got it done quick. Had some good ones to boot. #LakeForktackle had about 35 crappie.
Jerry Reynolds entertaining his great plumbing clients today. This lake gave me a good challenge Eufaula put up a great fight. I did a lot of running around to keep 50 fish for the box. caught them on a cork in 6 inches then wound up catching them better out in 6 to 9 feet. This time of year can be difficult they do something different by the day. Keep a open mind or the fish will drive you nuts wondering why they pull up and pull back up in the same day. Day 3 concluded with the Bobby Jones family. I would like to thank them for coming year in year out with D&K Guide. With Dennis Keener and Errik Watkins. They will have plenty of fish for there big family Fish fry and that was our main goal. #lakeforktackle.
Another great day on the water with the Bobby Jones family. Had over 70 fish with a little under a half a bucket of filets. Caught all of our fish shallow on the bank but the wind did make it tough. #lakeforktackle keep them coming in the boat. That is Errik Watkins boy Hunter being a good sport for my pic.
Meet Bobby Jones his wife, Tami, Gary, Linda, Lee and Sharon. Their 1st day of their 3 day trip. They have fished with us for 8 plus years and they are catching crappie for a huge family and friends fish fry they have every year. 130 crappie were boated with my boat, Errik Watkins boat and Bobby's boat. All fish were caught on #lakeforktackle in inches of water, mostly males.
Day two action for montey and Preston 78 was the amount kept. We slung some absolute toads in the boat today. Had to do a lot more running around but it worked out at the end the of the day. This is Jimmy, Bill, James and Sparky in the Orange hoodie. Sparky has the biggest guide outfit on Texoma lake. Sparky has been a guide for over 30 years. He manages a 5 boat crew for striper fishing. it was such an honor to take him crappie fishing on Lake Eufaula. 86 crappie was are yield today this is the reason you go fishing with 100% chance of rain. Meet Paul , Jim and Diane had over a 5 gallon bucket full of fun with these guys today. 58 was the amount we kept. Some males all up on the bank. Some huge females out deeper. Greg Ellis and his Dad Chuck catching over 50 Nice keepers out of lake Eufaula. Had one fish at 2 pounds and had another gaint hit the boat and fell back in the water That's fishing though. My son Taylor Keener and I finished. 1st place in the adult/youth Crappie Masters tournament Had a great time on the water despite the rain. It was a memory he and I will never forget. We are qualified for nationals due to our win. It's on Truman Lake in Missouri. Caught all of our fish on #lakeforktackle.#takeakidfishing. He or she will never forget a tournament experience.
