Our home port is York River Yacht Haven in Gloucester Point, VA. This makes the fishing charter provider closest to those in Williamsburg, Virginia! We also have dockage at scenic Wormley Creek Marina in Yorktown. We sometimes depart from Norview Marina in the beautiful town of Deltaville near Virginia’s Northern Neck. This would be during the Fall Striped Bass Season. As a result, our guests are closer to the schools of trophy Stripers migrating into the Upper Chesapeake Bay and the Rappahannock River. In addition, our charters are also near Richmond, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Newport News, Hampton, and Washington D.C.

We have found our guests prefer a personalized outdoor adventure on the waters of Tidewater and Hampton Roads. They enjoy time with just their family or group instead of being on a boat with 20 or more other people they don’t know. For this reason, we are a private charter boat, not a “head” or “party” boat. Current Addiction is a 31 foot open express sportfisher with the amenities to provide all-day, big-water comfort for groups of up to 6 guests.

Our charter boats present our guests the opportunity to have a truly customizable trip on the Chesapeake Bay of VA. For you, this may mean tailoring a saltwater fishing charter combining some bottom fishing for croaker, spot or flounder with an equal amount of time spent sportfishing by live baiting for mighty cobia or shark, or trolling for trophy rockfish (stripers, striped bass), bluefish or Spanish mackerel near Virginia Beach. Another option would be structure fishing on reefs, wrecks and other structure, such as the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. These structures produce tautog (blackfish), spadefish or sheepshead. Some folks enjoy our sport fishing charters that target speckled trout, red drum (redfish) or salt water stripers (striped bass, rockfish) on light tackle by casting lures along the grass bottomed shoreline flats. 

One cannot truly appreciate the historic triangle of Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown until they’ve seen it from the water! You may want to learn a little of the rich history of the VA Chesapeake Bay region and get an introduction to some of it’s aquatic inhabitants by chartering a sightseeing tour or pleasure excursion that usually includes dolphin watching.
