Here on the Predator we have a passion for Sportfishing in Islamorada
My name is Captain Augie Wampler and I am the owner/operator of the Sportfishing machine, The Predator. Ever since I was a small boy growing up in Islamorada, I have had a obsession with fishing. At 12, I started working on a head boat and never looked back. Islamorada has been my backyard for nearly 40 years and no one knows it better. I know what it takes to show my clients a great time on the water and, most importantly, CATCH FISH!
The Predator was built for fishing in Islamorada. She was built in Miami specifically for Sportfishing in the Florida Keys. With new twin QSC 490 Cummings, she is fast and fuel efficient. She has a large Tower for sight fishing for cobia, Sailfish and Mahi-Mahi. The cockpit is enormous, almost 14 feet wide, comes complete with a huge fish box, a 150 gallon in deck live well, 2 100 gallon above deck wells, Fighting Chair, Rocket Launcher, and freshwater washdown. The Furuno electronics are state-of the art. The tackle on the Predator is tournament rigged. We fish Diawia Spinning reels, Shimano conventional, and our electric reels are Kristal. From Swordfish to Snapper, and everything in between, the Predator is READY for any Sportfishing adventure!
