Laguna Madre Anglers Overview About

Captain Mitch Deane grew up in Houston and Galveston, TX hunting and fishing from a very young age.  After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a Business degree he owned and operated a car business.   Once he and his wife became empty nesters, he became a licensed Captain to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a fishing and hunting guide on the Texas Coastal Bend.  Mitch and his wife reside 10 minutes from Marker 37 Marina, located off the JFK Memorial Bridge, where Laguna Madre Angler fishing trips depart.

Captain Mitch specializes fishing Laguna Madre, Baffin Bay, and the Land Cut for  red fish, trout, flounder (also known as a Triple Slam) but other types are available too.  Captain Mitch takes up to 4 anglers, if fishing from the boat, and up to 6 anglers if anglers want to wade fish.  "Cast and Blast" trips are a full day of hunting and fishing!  We will arrange for 1/2 day fishing trips or full day trips, but we recommend the full day, since it is only $100.00 more.

Items provided:  A Licensed Captain/Fishing & Hunting Guide, 24 foot Pathfinder boat, rods, reels, lures, bait, ice chest, bottled waters, and cleaning/packaging of fish and birds.

Items you will need to bring:  Sunscreen, hat, waders and camo clothing, hunting boots, ammo, wet weather bag, plus a Texas fishing and/or hunting license with state waterfowl privilege & Federal duck stamp (signed) from Texas Parks and Wildlife.

"Conservation means development as much as it does protection. I recognize the right and duty of this generation to develop and use the natural resources of our land; but I do not recognize the right to waste them, or to rob, by wasteful use, the generations that come after us."

- Theodore Roosevelt
