Fish First step is owned and operated by Captain Chico Neyrey. Captain Neyrey is a South Carolina native and has over 35 years in the fishing industry as a mate, a captain and a guide. Having worked from Martha’s Vineyard to the Florida Keys, the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico his knowledge is extensive in all aspects of inshore and offshore fishing. His knowledge of local waters is unsurpassed.

 

First Step presents itself as a professional, informative and pleasantly memorable experience. We hire (on an as needed basis for multi-boat trips) the most professional and highest regarded guides in our area in order to make your trip enjoyable, safe and productive.

 

We are in Charleston, South Carolina and fish backwater for species such as Redfish, Black drum. Trout, Flounder, Bonnethead Sharks and Tarpon among quite a few other species. Or, you may prefer our nearshore and reef fishing for bigger game such as the Black-Tipped Shark, Tarpon, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel or reef species such as Sheepshead, Spadefish, Black Sea Bass, Weakfish, Red Drum,and Black Drum.
