Today, we only had a couple of anglers signed up for a Bottom Fish trip, so we invited another friend to join us. We took 5 Limits of Rockfish and Ling Cod. We were able to target a few Red Ones (Vermilion Rockfish) in the mix of Black, Blue, Copper, and Quillback Rockfish. Paul landed a 50" Halibut (about 60lbs). Too bad Halibut Season is closed. Went fishing today with Tom Gilliam on his boat Quick Draw. I got this nice Cobia on a BowedUp lure sight casting. Dad hooked a nice Gaffer Mahi about a mile from the beach. Tom also got a Cobia but he released his. Great day on the water for sure!

Today my good friends from Salisbury came for their annual June trip, but it was a little different this year, because since last June, Pop has gone on to be with the Lord. For the last ten years, he has always either been on the boat or sitting in that red Chevy at the dock, counting all the dolphin. I wanted to honor him in this post. Thanks Miss Iris for sharing him with us! Dolphin fishing was great again today, and after we limited out, we turned our attention to the blackfins. They were biting too, thanks to all the prayers from Dinah! Thanks guys!
