A few days ago, Sage Elite Pro Matt McCannel who is also the head guide at RIGS Fly Shop in Western Colorado caught this trophy brown. He had this to say about this trophy, "Gean, who is one of my best clients and I got to sight fish to this brown for only a few casts before it ate. The beast taped out at 31-1/4 inches with a girth of 22 inches and the calculated weight was 18.7 lbs." This is a trophy of epic proportions from a public section of the Uncompahgre River.
