Holy crap -3 degree morning chill And we had 70 reasons to be in the cold . Brian and Cory fishing with D&K guide service. Lake on the raise and the temps below freezing I don't think I've ever been so proud of a mess of fish. Had a few absolute slabs in the mix. Thanks guys for fishing with me today.#livescope is a beast.
Steve, Matt and Kevin fishing with D&K Guide Service on Lake Eufaula. Steve taking his grandkids fishing, which is a great idea. I love to watch these kids get hooked on Crappie fishing. Garmin live scope is a Beast.......
Mike, Harold and John fishing with D&K Guide Service. Catching around 80 keeping 72 to clean. These guys were an absolute blast to fish with. Crappie were caught right in the mouth lol. The pattern was to cover a lot of water and keep moving. This warm weather really scattered the fish. By the way Happy Birthday to you Mr Harold. Due to a cancellation I now have this Friday available if anyone wants to go.
Mario and Mr. Crabtree fishing with me today on Lake Eufaula. We yielded 54 crappie. I always have a great time with this crew. Most fish were caught 8 to 12 feet deep. Some on structure & some just roaming around in open water. Thanks for traveling from Kansas to spend your birthday with with D&K Guide Service.
Gathering some crappie for my self before I get to busy with clients. The fish in the pic was right at 2 pounds got to love this cold weather bite. The crappie in Eufaula are looking very healthy and thick. Learning something New every time I go out and fish with live scope. I still have a lot to learn.
If anyone is hungry for crappie you don't have to wait till spring to get some good sized filets. Call or text at 918- 470 - 7133 for some late winter action. This is a image of some fish under my boat.
Had the chance to fish with my buddy Errik Watkins today catching some winter time crappie. Also had the chance to show him the Garmin live scope. He was a instant fan. Water temp was 39 to 41 but it did not stop the fish from eating. You don't have to have live scope to catch fish it just makes it fun to see what's swimming around your boat.
My Son and I out playing with the live scope today no video today wind was stupid strong. If you look at his feet we still had snow in the boat. Taylor put it on me today I told him to enjoy his victory because it's gonna be short lived.
Gary and Jim from Kansas catching a table full of around 50 crappie in the winter months of the year. Crappie are like us they have to eat every day. It was so nice to see Gary walking, for the last two years he has been using a walker to get around. The world needs more people like him he fought threw a surgery then did two years of physical therapy. Never give up! Good to see you down here Gary and Jim. Had fun catching crappie with y'all.
Paul and Sheldon and I enjoying the last day of the year crappie fishing on Lake Eufaula. It was a brutal start to our day Fishing was very slow for the first 2 hours. But they hung in there with me. And the crappie started bitting and then we had It made. Live scope helped me hang in there and not move around so much. They were under the boat we just had to make adjustments to get them in the livewell. Happy New year's to everyone..
My son and I were trying out a new lake smaller body of water caught a ton of small non keepers then caught this 2.18 in the middle of some dinks go figure. Then caught more small fish. I take for granted how healthy Lake Eufaula Fish are compared to other lakes with less shad. Black and pink in the hair jig was the color today.
Huck, his buddy, my son and I caught close to 70 crappie out of Lake Eufaula today. The weather was great for December. The High pressure made it a minnow bite for sure very few on the jigs or flies. They would eat it and not even move you just felt weight. Winter time bite is funkie sometimes but you just have to adjust. Thanks for coming fishing with D&K Guide Service.. And happy holidays to everyone...
Patrick Gustafson and his two boys Jaiden and Jaxson getting it done On Lake Eufaula On a cold and very windy day. Jaiden photographed to the right is a Crappie stick he caught more than anyone he did so well. I love watching kids fish especially in tuff conditions. We used minnows and the flyies to catch a mess today the bite was so light. Light action 7 foot rods were a must, paired with fluorocarbon 10 lb line. Thanks for fishing with D&K Guide Service.
Catching 90 crappie on my home made Hair Flies in December was a absolute blast with Greg and his Dad Chuck. I did not expect this from Lake Eufaula with the lake still comming up from the recent rains but it did not bother the fishing. Found some cleaner water and a large wintertime school. Fish were tight to structure in 12 to 13 feet of water some were also suspended on vertical structure. Thanks for fishing with D&K Guide Service..
Been doing a lot of playing around with different jig or fly designs. This fly in this crappies mouth has been the one they've liked more anything else so far. I'm thinking that I like the idea of a fly because when they pick it up they don't feel any weight there for its more realistic.
Looking for a great Christmas present. Just go fishing with Dandkguide. Pm Dusty or Dennis for details.
Got my Garmin 93xv plus mounted on my boat today. I don't have the Live Scope but I will very soon. This is the clear view option. Crazy detail on this unit also many other cool features like live captain linked to your smart phone. Technology is growing so fast in my industry it's hard to keep up with it all... This pic is a mix of bait and crappie and a few gar.
One of my favorite things to do is go find new areas I have not even discovered on Lake Eufaula. Caught these fish about 12 miles up a creek. What a beautiful idle I went through on the way to catch a good dinner. Only kept 20 and left them biting. That's about the perfect number for the family and I. All fish caught on hair jigs today as well but that's all I fished with lol.
