About

Eric

My First memories of fishing were with my Grandpa. I used to spend every summer at my grandparents’ house fishing off their dock, and it was here that I caught my first redfish. Ever since that day, my “hobby” of fishing has turned into an addiction.

When I was 12, my dad bought me my first boat. It was just a small aluminum boat which I used to start exploring docks along the Indian river. It wasn’t before long that I started taking this boat everywhere. When I was able to finally start driving at the age of 16, I would just throw this boat in the back of my truck to explore what were then, new and exciting fishing grounds. This opened up a whole new area of fishing to me, mainly, the No Motor Zone. It was with this boat that I also started fishing the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River.

During my college years in Tallahassee, I spent my days off and weekends fishing a little place called Panacea. This place was awesome. Again, I had brought my little aluminum boat with me to explore every creek, flat, and bay that Panacea had to offer. Redfish and trout were everywhere, and it didn’t take long to dial in how, where, and when to catch them.

It was also here, while taking many of my friends out to catch these fish, when the idea of starting a charter business became a growing reality in my head. After I graduated, I moved back home to look for a job; this was where I wanted to be. Unfortunately, there weren’t many jobs to be found. This created a predicament for me – either move somewhere else to find a job that I probably wasn’t going to enjoy, or stay in the area where I grew up and do what I loved - fishing. Well... needless to say, it didn’t take me long to figure this one out.
