Marathon Trips are for the anglers who don’t want their fishing day to end. The extra time allows the Captain to explore further off shore. In the summer some of these deep offshore holes fill with Large Haddock. In the past anglers on these trips have caught over 1000 lbs of Haddock alone! When the bag limit for haddock was removed lots of anglers took advantage of these trips. Marathons can also be used for Combo trips, A full day of Cod and Haddock fishing can be followed by a late afternoon of light tackle Bass and Blue fishing. Marathon Tuna trips can be either a very early departure to get the rigs in before sunup or to combine with Haddock and Cod fishing.
