Exciting news, Todd Craighead and crew will be filming a crappie fishing show with the owners of D&K Guide Service, Dennis and Dusty Keener. The show will be filmed on April 14. I will let everyone know when the air date will be. I am honored and I'm Looking forward to this opportunity.

Gary and Rodney from Kansas always look forward hanging with these two. Bite was super light today but we managed to catch a gallon bag of fillets they could take back home.
Out doing some homework today. Trying my best to stay on them and adjust with all this crazy weather we have had lately. Always a good day when you can keep some for a family dinner.
The client I was with today could not be photographed due to hiding from his wife lol. So he took a goofy picture of me instead. Still wanted to share this picture because lake Eufaula was on fire before this big rain. It did push us off the water so we did not even fish that long. David Larry and Vince fishing with D&K Guide Service we had a great day on the water catching many big quality fish. Winter time crappie fishing can be very productive. Fish were caught in 14 to 10 feet of water 6 to 9 feet down. It was fun showing them how to snatch them up using Garmin Live scope. Thanks guys for all the help on the boat and cleaning fish with me. That's one thing about wintertime fishing you can count on, them being fat. Fish pattern was dead sticking a jig or minnow. They were in 12 to 18 feet of water suspended from 5 feet to 10 feet down. Jimmy and his son Maddox fishing with D&K guide today. It was a honor to take a NFL player fishing. Jimmy Wilkerson played for OU when they won their national title. Then went on to play nine years in the NFL. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks, then for the Saints. Daniel and I fishing today he wanted to chase the big girls with live scope so that's what we did. He only had a few hours to fish so we got on them quick. Love watching people pick off big fish on the Garmin live scope.
I don't give live scope garmin system enough credit. Chasing these down with live scope is a whole new level of fishing . I have had live scope over a year and fish are teaching me lessons on a daily basis. I enjoy showing Clients how it works and have someone watch it live for the first time they connect with a crappie. Happy Christmas to everybody out there.

It was just me and Daniel fishing 42 degree water temp did not stop these fish from eating. Caught these in just under 3 hours and Daniel said that enough for dinner. Wintertime is a great time to gather a mess of fish. Thanks for fishing with D&K Guide Service.
Keith and Derek fishing with D&K Guide on Lake Eufaula. Bite was light today but we caught some real good quality fish and Derek caught a nice blue on a 7 foot crappie rod That was fun to watch. Thanks for you company and your time which did fly by quick. Fish were caught in 12 to 18 feet of water had to hit them on the head then pull up and hold it very still.
Dalt, Joe and Ted from Wisconsin traveling through enjoying a day on Lake Eufaula with D&K Guide Service. The North Wind was brutal but we wound up with a nice mess of slabs. Winter time fishing can yield some big crappie. Fish were caught on structure in 10 to 14 feet of water dead sticking was the key to getting a bite with this cold front. Never allow the conditions to keep you from having fun.
Trying out a new version of my hand tied jigs on Eufaula. Experiment went very good looking forward to trying Different colors I made up. I could just not take this one off. Find the structure with live scope and hold it very still and they will come up and get it. It's fun making your own bait and then catching fish.

Fish being very finicky, we earned every one of these. Always have a great time with this crew. Fish were deeper than I want them to be. Anywhere from 12 to 15 feet is where we found our good sized fish on jigs and minnows.

That's one thing I like about the cold water season you catch quality fish. Thanks for your time gentleman it was a nice day to be out fishing. Most fish caught in 11 to 14 feet on jigs and minnows.
Have a few trips coming up so I thought I better get out of the woods and get a pole in my hand. Only fished a few hours but I did catch some real good quality lake Eufaula fish. Would have taken a few more pics but my gloves felt better on my hands than off. Water temp was 47 to 49 and those fish felt so cold.
