Captain Daniel Brisson is starting his second season at the helm of the Sunrise II fishing charter boat, but the 38 foot custom vessel is no novice to bottom fishing the waters around Morehead City, North Carolina. Captain Bobby Freeman founded Sunrise Fishing Charters and is a fishing legend in Morehead City. After working together, Captain Daniel Brisson bought the business and the Sunrise II from Captain Bobby upon his retirement. Captain Daniel continues Bobby's legacy and combines his own knowledge of the area to put his customers on the fish during deep sea and off shore fishing trips.

Captain Daniel grew up fishing these waters with his grandfather and his passion for it led him to buy Sunrise Fishing Charters. He specializes in bottom fishing with deep drop electric reels for snapper, grouper, black sea bass, triggerfish and tilefish. He also trolls for wahoo, tuna and mahi mahi and jigs for cobia, tuna, jack and grouper. Day or nighttime swordfishing is also available. It doesn't matter what level of fisherman you are, Captain Daniel will ensure you have a fantastic time. Groups ranging from families to seasoned fisherman are welcome and no matter what, Captain Daniel will put you on the fish!

CHARTER OPTIONS

The Sunrise II fishing charter leaves from Morehead City Waterfront and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 fishermen at a time. The custom-built 38 foot long Desert Isle lobster-boat hull with a 12-foot-long cockpit was converted into a bottom fishing craft by local boat-builder Keith Otis.

We specialize in bottom fishing with deep drop electric reels for snapper, grouper, black sea bass, triggerfish and tilefish. We also troll for wahoo, tuna and mahi mahi and jig for cobia, tuna, jack and grouper. Day or nighttime swordfishing is also available. All you need to bring are your friends and your food. Everything else is provided but customers are welcome to bring their own gear.

It doesn't matter what level of fisherman you are, as any trip can be customized.
