We ran our first Chignik River Coho trips this week with Scott and Mark from Michigan. Coho's have been swarming the river in thousands everyday, providing for spectacular fishing every trip. Scott opted to swing flies, and Mark casted spinners. Both guys were lit up with screaming line peels, arial acrobatics, and furious takedowns. Our average size is up this year, with most fish weighing between 12 & 15 pounds with a few 17-18 pounders thrown in the mix. Fishing for Coho's is a blast, especially when you are able to sight fish them and have 20-100 fish laying just feet from where you are standing. It is a fishery that all fisherman should experience, when you are ready to book your trip to Chignik Bay, send us a note or give us a call!
